I started playing SecondLife over a year ago as a EDM DJ with a focus on trance, techno, and deep house. Being able to create an hour-long continuous set and make it seamless was a real joy, but the scene was not really what I was looking for. Going into a club and seeing a chat full of conversation is really what gets me going behind the decks. I wanted a way that I could communicate with people, and found that commercial play was the best for that.
I have been lucky enough to guest DJ in some of the more well-known clubs in SecondLife, but have found a home at GenerationXYZ. I took a permanent spot with them a while ago and many of the people there have become like family to me. It has been amazing to watch what started out as a fun get together project grow into something that is so special to many of us.
How would I describe what I do? Simply, Love. I love what I am doing every week. I love meeting new people, and finding new music to play. I love it when I play a song that is instantly recognizable, or one that was long forgotten but brings back great memories. I love creating special sets with a theme that may seem off the wall, but has people talking. I love being a DJ.
